A Celebration of Strength, Vulnerability and Imagination

Mauro, the dreamer clown, envisions that his own funeral will take place amid a carnival atmosphere and be attended by tender angels. While looking back on his personal experiences, he is met with multiple characters from his past in a joyful celebration of his life. But, could it all be a dream?

The show contrasts the grand with the intimate, the silly with the tragic, and the beauty of perfection with the appeal of imperfection.

Corteo highlights the strength and fragility of Mauro the clown, as well as his wisdom and kindness, to illustrate the portion of humanity that is within each of us.

The music, by turns lyrical and playful, carries Corteo through a timeless celebration in which illusion teases reality.
